Miniature Zebu are not to exceed 42" behind their hump. These cattle typically range between 250-600 pounds at maturity. They are the smallest breed of cattle and are naturally "miniature". (yes, we have to use a toddler's 4 wheeler to make our cattle look bigger)

Dwarfism in Miniature Zebu

Dwarfism in Zebu

In recent years, BD1 and BDz genes have been found in some lines of Miniature Zebu cattle. We strive to breed cattle free of both dwarfism genes as to avoid potential major health issues in our cattle. All of the cattle used in our program at Texas Compact Cattle Company have been tested and deemed dwarfism free, which allows us to assure you that all of our calves will also be negative for these genes. We also parent verify all of the calves born on our farm by DNA. To learn more,
